What's the idea behind the partner program?

A partner program is essentially the same as a good old-fashioned personal recommendation. You add our advertisement on your page, which means you recommend our service to your visitors. When one of your visitors clicks through from your page to ours and buys our products, we will give you a commission on the sale as a little "thank you".

Why is becoming a partner a good thing?

People visit your pages because you offer honest, valuable, and reliable information. They will trust your recommendations, which is why adverts on your page will be taken seriously.

Ideally, your page should have something to do with outdoor activities, climbing, mountain sports, or something else in that area. Placing one of our banners on your site will mean that you can offer your visitors additional relevant information. You might even want to write a review about one of our products and include a link to our page with it. The idea is to support any interest in buying a particular item by including a link that will get your visitors exactly where they need to go to get that product.

What are the advantages of joining a partner program?

For you: It doesn't really matter if you are maintaining a website as a business or simply as your hobby – you invest a lot of your time in it (and probably a bit of money as well). Becoming our advertising partner means that you can have an easily manageable and completely risk-free source of extra income. It won't cost you a cent of your own money, and you don't have to worry about achieving some minimum turnover or anything like that. You won't even have to be particularly technology-savvy – and we're here if you do need any help.

For your visitors: You offer your visitors additional value if they can find items they are interested in buying via your site. You do that by simply adding some topic-relevant, well-placed advertising. How much do I get paid?

We use the "pay-per-sale" remuneration model. That means we will pay you a commission on any sales realized by customers recommended by you within 30 days of their first visit to our shop from your pages. Our standard commission is 7% of actual net sales price of the products. The commissions are added up and, from an amount of 2000/-, paid out to you every month. If the order is then later cancelled we will transfer a lower amount.

 

Why was my commission reduced?

We always immediately confirm the sales that you brokered, and you are immediately credited with the commission. However if the customer sends the items back completely or in part within 100 days then the commission is also deducted accordingly. The same applies if the customer doesn't pay completely. 

 

Can I recommend new partners and be rewarded for it?

Of course! As a reward you will permanently receive a 3% commission on the net sales of the partner you recommended – in addition to the 7%, that the new partner receives. The prerequisite is that the new partner registers via your personal partners-recommend-partners link. (we will generate it for you)

Before the new recommended partner sends their completed registration form they should check that your personal partner ID appears under "Service ID" at the end of the form. This is the only way to ensure that the new partner is registered as having been recommended by you!

 

Can I use my own advertising material?

Of course. Because we see the referring page where the visitor comes from we can still assign the visitor to your partner page.

 

How does the technology behind the partner program work?

When a visitor clicks on our advertising material on your page and reaches our page a cookie will be stored on their computer. This ensures that any purchases the visitor makes in the next 30 days is assigned to your account. The time period can be shortened if the visitor deletes the cookie in the meantime or if they click on advertising displayed by another partner – in the latter case your cookie is overwritten and the sale is assigned to the other partner ("last cookie wins").

 

 

I operate a commercial website – what should I pay attention to?

If this is the case you need to enter your tax number and, if available, your VAT ID no. in your personal partner area. You are responsible for correct taxation of any commissions received.
