Petzl ATTACHE locking carabiner

The Petzl ATTACHE is a compact, pear-shaped SCREW-LOCK carabiner designed for belaying, climbing and mountaineering. Its round-stock basket provides a smooth surface for the rope to run over when belaying with a Munter hitch or compatible Petzl VERSO or REVERSO device.

The Petzl ATTACHE is a personal favourite within the Skimo team for ice climbing. Its pear-shaped body is especially useful at belay stations, while the round-stock basket allows the rope to run smoothly when using a Munter hitch or compatible belay device. The manual SCREW-LOCK sleeve is easy to inspect and operate deliberately, including when building winter climbing systems.

The partial H-shaped frame keeps the carabiner relatively light, while the Keylock nose helps reduce snagging on ropes, slings and harness equipment loops. As with all climbing connectors, users must inspect the carabiner, verify that the sleeve is fully locked and follow Petzl’s compatibility instructions.
