BCA Float E2 MtnPro Airbag Vest

The BCA Float E2 MtnPro is a sled-specific avalanche airbag vest designed for mountain snowmobiling. It combines a 162-litre Alpride E2 electronic airbag with 15 litres of storage, integrated organisation for rescue equipment and removable upper-body protection.

Designed for mountain snowmobiling

The vest includes a dedicated shovel-and-probe compartment, external shovel and shaft carry, a Side Stash pocket and Back Stash accessory zip. Large gusseted front pockets keep frequently used equipment accessible, while chest vents support airflow during active riding. An insulated internal pocket is provided for electronics or a GPS, and the vest is compatible with BCA BC Link radios.

Alpride E2 airbag system

The electronic Float E2 system uses supercapacitor technology and inflates a 162-litre airbag. According to BCA, alkaline AA batteries can provide one additional deployment and maintain charge for up to three months; lithium AA batteries can provide up to three additional deployments and maintain charge for up to five months. BCA describes the E2 system as approved for airline travel, but travellers should always confirm current airline and destination-specific rules before departure.

Removable torso protection

A dual-layer removable body-armour system protects the front, sides and back. Its construction places a 1 mm hard ABS shell between two polyethylene foam layers.
