Underarm zip vents help release heat during sustained walking. Adjust the hood when rain arrives, then use the hook-and-loop cuffs and two hem drawcords to refine the openings around your layers.

A zipped chest pocket and two zipped hand pockets provide secure storage for small essentials. When the weather clears, the jacket packs into its own hand pocket. An internal carabiner loop gives you an additional way to keep the packed shell together with your gear.
