Selection guidance
Both devices provide 91% rated sheave efficiency and are designed to work on frozen or muddy ropes. NANO TRAXION reduces weight and packed size, while MICRO TRAXION adds the ability to lock its cam open and operate as a simple pulley.
Choose NANO TRAXION when minimum weight is the priority and progress capture is required throughout the intended setup. Choose Micro Traxion when the system benefits from a larger sheave and lock-open simple-pulley mode.
These are specialized life-safety devices. Users must obtain appropriate training, follow Petzl’s technical documentation, and verify every component in the complete system.
